A Friendly Place to stay in Cascais


"A Casa e o  Mundo" it's a place to stay and relax. Homely decoration to make you feel  comfortable. With very good prices to have a wonderful holidays in the very centre of this beautiful village of Cascais. Just 5 minutes walk from everywhere in town, shops, train and bus station, tourist office, beaches, restaurants and bars, city garden, marina, museums, etc.

"A  Casa e o Mundo" offers the possibility of meeting new people in a very friendly atmosphere.
We also try to organize some art, cultural events, and special meals. The main idea of this house is to be a peaceful place of exchanges experiences of life.
For the ones interested there are piano classes and therapeutic massages.
The house have a communal kitchen where everyone can do there meals, snacks or a simple tea. The backyard invites for relaxing meals or enjoying conversations.
Free WI-FI in the entire house. There is no TV.
We can arrange personal and special tours just ask Rosário.

Sheets, linens, and bath towels are included
Every room has there own key and one of the main door of the house. The guests do there own management of the hours respecting the proper life of the house.

 Train and  Bus station, Cultural Centre, beach, marina, shops, restaurants, bars, gardens, free bicycle 5-10 minutes walk

By Car from Lisbon:
A5 till the last way out (20 minutes)
Go directly to the centre of the village till Avenida D.Carlos I, after the main church turn on your right at Avenida Vasco da Gama. Rua  Gago Coutinho will be the second road on your left  (10-15 minutes)

From the airport by taxi:
Its about 30 kms can't cost more than 40 Euros. Ask the price before entering.

From the airport with public transports:
There is a special bus that goes till the train station Cais do Sodré (3,5 Euros about 20 minutes)
At the train station get  the train till Cascais it's the final stop of that line (2,05 Euros and 35 minutes)
From Cascais train station you can catch a taxi(5 euros/5-10 minutes) or simply walk
Avenida Valbom all the way down, cross the road and keep in front and go to another road Rua Alexandre Heculano untill you arrive to Avenida Vasco da Gama. Then turn to your left and just a few meters in front you will see Rua Gago Coutinho on your right.
Its near Apeadeiro's restaurant and Viriato's restaurant.
But I can also pick you up at the Cascais train station.
